German Cardboard Book Company

Everything started in 2019 with cardboard books and Rolf Zuckowski - read more here about our successful prototype that laid the foundation for Nextcreate. In collaboration with Universal Music, Deutsche Pappebuch Gesellschaft and Rolf Zuckowski.

The cardboard books Rolf's Winter Secrets and Rolf's Song Secrets from Sarah Settgast and Rolf Zuckowski were realised thanks to Nextcreate and Volucap digitally enhanced to an audio-visual experience! ‍

German Cardboard Book Company:

"The books still contain some secrets that you can experience via the new cardboard book app: With the app for the book, you can make every page in the book sound. Listen to the songs accompanying the pictures and sing along with the whole text. A surprise awaits you on the cover. Simply scan the QR code on the book and download the app to your mobile phone. By the way, we wrote the 12 songs for the book together with Universal Music also released as an album."

Bavarian Centre for Special Situations

The Bavarian Centre for Special Emergency Situations (BayZBE) is an EU-wide unique training campus for health civil protection, which prepares operational and management personnel for special, unusual situations as realistically and efficiently as possible. The training centre is located in Windischeschenbach in the northern Upper Palatinate. The company's headquarters are in Munich.

The official ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of the training campus in Windischeschenbach took place on 7 July 2023.

The BayZBE is to grow by 25,000 square metres of training space. After the expansion, the campus will comprise a total of 15 modules on three properties. The three properties are in close proximity to each other. Different training courses can take place independently in each module, which will allow up to 100 emergency services to train at the same time.

Using state-of-the-art simulation technology (video and sound recording, stressors caused by light changes, noises, odours, rain, cold, heat and much more), the BayZBE offers realistic training both indoors and outdoors, from the rubble area with trapped people, to a train crash, to an attack in a pedestrian zone, everything can be simulated in the future.

As part of the official ground-breaking ceremony, Nextcreate was used to add digital information to the facility.

Wooden cubes with various motifs were displayed on a large overview and provided an insight into the various stations on the campus, and were also placed on the campus itself.

Visitors were able to view content such as videos, the website and projections of the future design by scanning the cubes using their own or provided smartphones and tablet PCs.

studio kohlmeier | PhotonenSpur und Paragraphen

What remains of political events in the long-term exposure

For her long-term photographic project "PhotonenSpur und Paragraphen", Berlin artist Angelika Kohlmeier works with an analogue pinhole camera and a digital film camera.

The result of a recording day is therefore two complementary recording forms in the message, each of which was created at the same place at the same time, but
achieve a diametrically opposed effect.

Nextcreate made it possible to effortlessly combine analogue photographs and digital films and make them accessible to viewers on their smartphones.
