User interface and project overview

After logging in to our browser-based authoring tool, you will find your workspace with the associated projects and a fold-out sidebar on the main user interface.

1 sidebar

The sidebar gives you access to your projects and additional components such as the library and user manager, analyses and other settings (coming soon).

2 Account information

Here you will find account information and the option to unsubscribe.

3 Work area

This is the main workspace where projects, chapters and content can be displayed and managed.

4 tabs / filters

You can use these tabs as filters to only display projects that are in a Published or Draft status or belong to a custom category that you can assign to your project on the "Project settings" page.

5 "New Project" button

Click here to start a new project! If you are new to Nextcreate, we recommend taking a look at our showcase project first and exploring some sample content chapters before creating your own. This will give you a good understanding of how different media types can be used in Augmented Reality and OnScreen mode. In terms of available project types, you have the following options:

  • QR Code: Use of a QR code to make content accessible.
  • Image Marker: Use of an image to make content accessible.
  • Spatial Anchor: Place an anchor in the room to make your content accessible.

6 Showcase Demo Project

In this demo project, you can explore several chapters with different usage scenarios. You can use them directly in our Nextcreate mobile app for Android and iOS try it out by these image markers use.
